A fun game

Rules:
1) five words per line
2) five lines
3) one word, determined at random by diceware http://world.std.com/~reinhold/dicewarewordlist.pdf (if you get an abrieviation or a word not in the dictionary, roll again (don't use the oed, unless you're on expert mode)); that word goes into the position of the line number (i.e. on the fourth line, the random word is in the fourth position)
4) the order of the five digit number is determined by position along the box's larger dimension, if rolling five dice in a box, or one at a time, if rolling one die outside a box
5) rhyme every other line (slant rhyme allowed) (i.e. ababc)

corollery--each word determined at random is exactly five words away from the next random word

examples:

sloe jin fizz bought by
a cop eyeing refuse that
he'd easily slag until mystery
and world did bite, spat
blood and all that's known

Geese dance, I find it
as lewd as those monkeys
when they unite in public
on a yoga mat, absurd
it is like insomniac junkies
earning by pedling their hineys

Mite who takes a piss
like papa brought into this
world, a hue ungodly like curdled
milk. A cookie batch. bliss:
it's more chunky than gawky.

Crack in the glass would
infrequently converge toward the path
of landed gentry. They should
fuck off, take soma, math
the unforgiven world and wince.

Subway Game

Subway Game--to be posted to Anonymous
Coward's gtd blog

Here's a fun one. Made this up a few years ago with roommate and erstwhile girlfriend down in the 'wack.

First, get yourself a transit map.
We used NYC but anything with multiple lines works--even bus maps.

Then get yourself some pieces. Sure, you can use monopoly pieces, but bottle caps, utensils, toe nail clippings--they all work better. And anything that can get stuck in a todler's mouth works best of all.

Then steal a die from your child's candyland game.

Now comes the important, and fun part.

Get some notecards. Tear them in half if you don't have enough. Write on them instructions.

Start play.

Role die. Move stops. draw card.

Easy as that.

The first to make it to a determinite place (we chose Briant Park) wins.

Making the cards really is the fun part. Who could forget Hipster card 3, the dread Bill Murry card, get outta Brooklyn free, or my personal favorite--Serin Gas Attack! (role 1d6 on a 6 you die).

1d6? Ok, you non gamers. My sixteenth level quarter-goblin will school you: the "normal" die--the one that has six sides, as opposed to the 4 (pyramid) 8 (two pyramids) 12 10, 20 or 100 (yes they make a 100).

Now, off you go to game!

And just for fun, let's release this under the bsd license:

copyright Anonymous Coward Productions--needless to say, he gets nothing for this ltd.

Should you like this game, let me know. Invented all sorts of games while manic. And most of them "get things done." As mom always said, turn it into a game.
